This state has a special place in my heart as the genesis of my change into a hiker and adventurer; not to mention that the jaw-dropping scenery is what inspired me to buy a proper camera in the first place. I came to Alaska barely having spent time outdoors, and have evolved into someone who can’t wait to wander into the woods on any given weekday. After my first summer job taking reservations for a tour company, I trained with an Iditarod racer and later spent a season dog mushing in Wyoming.

Grand-scale wildlife, hour-long sunsets, spectacular wildflowers, northern lights, glaciers, and Vitus ice cream are some of the very best that Alaska has to offer. If you haven’t seen me in a while, you can probably catch me in my Tufs at the Denali Park Kennels covered in dog hair.
